Its magnetic resistance by Eddy Current is controlled by computer giving a noiseless, unruffled ride, but its adjustments for resistance are limited. Other different features are six programs that have been already preset, adjustable handlebars, completely adjustable fore/aft seating, the monitor for checking heart rate and AC power operative. This exercise bike does not provide workouts that controls the heart rate. It has strong warranty for a period of ten years and for electronics and parts there is one year warranty. It is very rare among exercise bikes.

Schwinn Airdyne Exercise bike is quiet different from its other bikes. It is more expensive, yet its nature is basic with a weight capacity of 300 pounds. Its chief features are the big multi-blade fan to make it resistant, lever arms synced with pedals to achieve a good workout of upper body. It has extra-long life, gives reliable and smooth ride due to its cartridge bearings that comes sealed and has lower, steel step-over frame. To monitor heart rate, calories, workload, distance, speed and RPM, there is a computer display. There are two versions, of which one is traditional with direct carryover and the newer improved version Airdyne EVO, is based on original design, but with a smaller fan of 30" with some minor adjustments. There is also a newer version called Keys Dual Action Airbike, which has is cheaper than the other version.

Schwinn Recumbent Exercise Bikes

The recumbent models include: 231, 230, 213, 212, 203 and 201.Schwinn 231 and 230 are attractive with their sleek look and rounded edges and are sold for $550 and $440 respectively. 230 models have the same features as 213, but are more expensive. So 213 are considered their best buy. But 231 models have BioFit seat that has lumbar support which can be dual positioned, steel flywheel of 22lb causing high inertia and drive system that is computer controlled. Other features are profile courses already preset, ten in number with time trial, calorie goal, BMI Measurement, single Manual Model, Quick Start and Results Mode.
